I am sure this transmission trouble is electric in some way. I have endemic this van since 2002. About six months after I bought information technology is when this problem occurred. I feel this is electrical every bit it doesn't happen all the time. I have had this checked numerous times and being an intermittent problem it'south hard to find. The transmission shifts actually hard and feels like it's banging...I pull over close it off and restart...sometimes three or four times to right the problem. I e'er change the fluid equally required. I feel if it was the transmission, and then why non all the fourth dimension?

2,000 miles afterwards the 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty expired, the tranny failed. But actually, I believe this was the dealers fault, since what happened is this; brought in for a simple particular to be fixed, and they told me the head gasket was leaking. that was 900 bucks to fix, and wasn't covered either, of course! So I had the gasket replaced, and 100 miles later, the tranny failed (burned up). Now don't tell me that the idiot repair guy forgot to do something when he fixed the gasket!!!! Probably forgot to put the fluid back in (if that is removed when a head gasket is replaced???), or forgot to connect some wires to the tranny, or ?????? I argued, and finally they replaced it with a rebuilt i for ONLY $1200 instead of the total $2400 they said they normally accuse. But I had no proof they acquired the trouble, so I had to pay it. Now, the motorcar has 138,000 on information technology, and the tranny jerks into gears when hot...I suspect a tranny tuneup (with fill/flush/band tightening) may solve the problem. I'thou hoping another tranny isn't needed!!!!

So we bought this van thinking it was squeamish and all. We utilise it to pull our jet ski. Only just terminal year everything went downward hill. Nosotros went on a 4 days trip from PA to Connecticut to NY to NJ then ended up dorsum domicile in PA. Funny to say that in Connecticut our arm rest broke. (piece of junk!) Then... on our manner to NY our front window got hit by a rock/pebble from the street and cracked. (streets in NY suck!) then afterwards we thought everything was ok... our fuel marker thing goes wild. and a few months later...in January 2008, Our manual goes junk on usa too. At present! afterward 4 months, (ii from when i found out nigh the transmission..) We constitute our self in a funny and painful situation. We owe $3,300.00 nonetheless on this van. No warranty. its gonna cost about $ii,000.00 to ready the transmission completely. I have merely this one car. We utilise it for everything. No car to borrow what so ever.I have family coming to visit in about three weeks and from PA to NY (JFK) is a long way. My van won't even brand information technology 1/4 of the way. When we bulldoze information technology it feels like if you were in a horse for a while. jumping up and down. The van is a piece of crap. And nevertheless... information technology wines when you go above l miles per hour. So she knows she's hurting. How annoying can this be. We bought a used transmission last week for $450.00 thinking that since information technology had 69,000 miles and a one month warranty, information technology would last. Now to that $450.00 add together some other $250.00 to go someone to put information technology in. Plus another $1??.00 in gas (on someone else's machine) just for the trip to become get the transmission. Now there is much more to this but just to get to the point... This manual turned out to be worse then the one it had earlier. So if you think about it... there went $250.00 for putting it in. To have it out and get my money back for this manual before the warranty goes out it will toll another $250.00 to get it out, plus gas.So what to do at present? Well my married man seemed to call back he had the solution the other day. He was then frustrated that he drove the van all the way dwelling at 70mph. Jumping like a horse he wanted the van to just Explode! for a 2d at a reddish calorie-free i thought he was gonna go through it without stopping and throw it down the colina. Funny affair is he actually thought nigh us existence in it. =D When nosotros become home we usually worry nearly kids being around the van when playing and damaging information technology in any fashion. Well this time when we got home my hubby just sat downward and when he saw the kids playing effectually our van he just screamed at them.... "IF YOUR GONNA Hitting MY VAN, Hitting IT! BUT HIT IT Hard!" Equally for me...I requite upwardly. I merely wanna burn down information technology!

First noticed that the car would "jump" into gear-made a huge clunking sound. Nosotros bought this auto as a "program vehicle" so there was a little warranty left only the problem happened but later on it expired then we had to pay for it out of pocket. It seemed okay for a couple of years but it recently has started to do it once more. But, nosotros have noticed that the problem is worse when the A/C is on for some reason. We accept, since then, found out that this 2000 model minivan is a real lemon! The manual is not the only issue with information technology: brakes, A/C, electrical all suck too! The only Chevy's worth buying, in my opinion, are the trucks.

I took my van into a transmission shop considering it was shifting hard at low speeds when warm and I had likewise noticed information technology whining while going upwards a hill at approx 90 km/hour. They scanned information technology and got several codes, the worst one being P1811 Maximum Arrange and Long Shift. The transmission needs to be replaced at but 104,000 kms at a cost of $3000 CAD, my warranty only expired at 100,000 kms!! I am beyond unimpressed!! Chevy will non even consider an exception past the warranty expiration for this because there was no history of this problem during warranty coverage. I will presently exist taking my van in to have information technology fixed, what else am I supposed to practice, but in the mean time I am parking the P. O. S. out on the street in hopes that it will be stolen... come and become it!!!!

I was driving my venture and started hearing a noise coming from under the hood. I only heard it at speeds above fifty miles per 60 minutes. If is switched in to third gear the noise would go away just I could hear the manual going faster. I knew right away that it was the transmission. My extended warranty had just given out at 90K. I brought it to Earth transmission who hooked it upwards to their computer and told me that the over bulldoze gear 4th gear had given out. They were able to rebuild the transmission and things are working better now. I never thought I would have so many problems with american cars. It really sucks when our car companies know they are building substandard cars and wonder why we are buying honda, mazda, etc. They last. I will never purchase another american car

I have owned this car for 6 months. I never thought that the transmission would be toast. Upon talking to the aamco store (where they make good money fixing broken chevys) i learned that they see this trouble all the time. I wish I had washed more homework prior to ownership a chevy. it has been brought to my attention now that their transmissions are garbage. I contacted chevy and got a nice dose of smoke blown up my posterior. do yourself a favor america, ban chevy.

We bought our 2000 venture van make new. At 24,000 miles the transmission went. We had it replaced and the next day it went again ( 3hours from home). We were on our way to SC to take our daughter to college. Had to rent a van to get there and go out our van to exist fixed. They replaced the transmission. Both under the warranty. Then 3 years ago we had major transmission problems and it cost a lot to get it stock-still. Guess What- at 177,000 our manual has gone over again. What is with Chevy transmissions? Has anyone else had this problem. I drive it all the time. I am not hard on the transmission or a crazy commuter. Air conditioner has been another trouble. We had bug with it and finally had it replaced. Should have been under warranty simply the warranty company went bankrupt. This yr we had to have repairs done on it besides. I don't recall we volition buy any more than Chevy vans. I can't believe how much money we have spent on it over the years. We take very good care of the cars-changing oil every 3000 miles, checking and changing other fluids as we should, not hard or crazy drivers.
